Revocation Of Registration Certificate
(1) If any motor vehicle registered pursuant to this Act is destroyed in any manner or becomes out of order as not being capable of plying or taken outside Nepal permanently, the owner of such a motor vehicle shall have to make an application, in the prescribed format, accompanied by the registration certificate, to the competent authority for crossing off the records of such a motor vehicle no later than thirty days. Provided that, if it is required to take outside Nepal any motor vehicle which is important archaeologically or any spare parts of such a motor vehicle, its owner shall have to obtain prior approval of the competent authority. (2) If an application as referred to in Sub-section (1) is made, the competent authority shall, if the contents are found true upon necessary inquiry made into the matter, revoke such a registration certificate, mention that matter in the register and cross off the record of such a motor vehicle.
